The horror genre has been a staple of comic books since the medium's inception, and while the reign of the Comics Code Authority resulted in a hiatus for the genre, horror has continued to find substantial success into the modern day. Several series have become smash hits, leaping off the page onto the big and small screens through live-action adaptations. Joe Hill's Locke and Key, Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead, and Garth Ennis' Preacher have all found a second life as television series. However, with every massive success, there is another series that fails to garner the same level of attention.
