After Netflix began releasing original content in 2013, the streaming giant now has an extensive collection of superhero-based projects, using some of the biggest IP names in the game. Most prominently, the company's Defenders Saga helped expand the Marvel Universe, and those shows are now being more fully integrated into Marvel Studios' MCU. Netflix also has its fair share of original superhero movies not based on comics, including 2020's Project Power (starring Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and We Can Be Heroes, a sequel to 2005's The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl.
