In October 2025, former Lionsgate film head Erik Feig launched The Arena. The Saudi-backed independent production company set out to create new global franchises. Given how well Keanu Reeves' John Wick franchise turned out for Feig during the executive's tenure at Lionsgate, it only made sense to find a new project with the acclaimed actor. It appears they have found a project to work on together, as Reeves will star and produce an upcoming political thriller based on a soon-to-be-released military thriller.
