The first official team-up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe came in 2012's The Avengers, which united Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America, with the film's success confirming why this group is known as Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Last year, another beloved supergroup joined the MCU with The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The next ensemble that we're chomping at the bit to finally see join the MCU are the X-Men, with Jake Schreier set to helm their debut picture. Given his success with Thunderbolts*, the most recent group to unite in the MCU, it's easy to see how he scored the gig. However, some major questions still remain about his vision for the movie.
