Mindhunter was a huge success for Netflix. Based on a true story, the series chronicled the early years of serial killer profiling at the FBI during the 1970s. This show had everything going for it. Jonathan Groff (Hamilton), Holt McCallany (The Iron Claw), and Anna Torv (The Last of Us) made a phenomenal trio as special agent Holden Ford, special agent Bill Tench, and psychologist Dr. Wendy Carr. The legendary David Fincher (Fight Club), who executive-produced the series, directed seven episodes. The writing was sharp. The guest stars portraying real-life serial killers played their roles with chilling accuracy. Season 1 is certified fresh with a 96% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Season 2 is certified fresh with a 99% rating. So, what happened?
