Much has changed for Disney+ since it launched in November 2019. Although the streamer originally relied heavily on television series based on its most popular brands, such as Marvel and Star Wars, it has pulled back in recent years to avoid devaluing those properties' box office viability. While Disney+ will still release Marvel Cinematic Universe shows like the mysterious Zodiac series in 2028, the streamer is prioritizing adaptations of popular books, including the Percy Jackson spin-off The Kane Chronicles and the fantasy novel Eragon.
