For a filmmaker, there is no honor greater than an Academy Award. Many of our greatest living directors have won the Best Director Oscar, including but not limited to Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, James Cameron, Chloé Zhao, and Christopher Nolan. There are also many filmmakers who have yet to win the Best Director Oscar, like Spike Lee, Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Greta Gerwig, and Jordan Peele, who still have a chance.
