Star Trek: Strange New Worlds might be coming to an end, but a semi-positive update has been given about the potential Star Trek: Year One spin-off series. Strange New Worlds is a prequel to Star Trek: The Original Series, in which Captain James T. Kirk commands the U.S.S. Enterprise. As the series approaches its endpoint with the announced fifth and final season, everything is being put into position to hand it off to the status quo of Star Trek: The Original Series, introducing new versions of Captain Kirk as a recurring character alongside future members of his Enterprise team like Spock, Uhura, Nurse Chapel, and Scotty.
