Despite online rumors, James Gunnhas denied that one long-awaited DCU series has been scrapped. In January 2023, DC Studios announced a slate of films and television titles that would make up the "Chapter One - Gods and Monsters" slate. While projects like Superman, Lanterns, Supergirl, and Creature Commandos have gotten off the ground, others like The Brave and the Bold, The Authority, and Swamp Thing seem to be stuck in development. Meanwhile, Clayface, which was not part of the original slate, has been added to the line-up.
