HBO Max has certainly landed a hit with The Pitt. The show, set in theemergency department of Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital (nicknamed the titular Pitt), offered a dramatized 15-hour window into one chaotic day. Each episode would be the equivalent of an hour at the Hospital, delivering a real-time, high-stakes medical drama, backed by a phenomenal cast, including Noah Wyle, who plays the central character, Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch. The show, created by R. Scott Gemmill, who previously worked on ER with Wyle, launched to great success, with over 16 million tuning in for the first episode, followed by around 10 million viewers for each subsequent episode.
