The turnaround from theatrical to digital is faster when a film has a less-than-desirable run at the box office, and this is true of the disaster horror comedy Y2K. The A24 release opened on Dec. 6 and has grossed a mere $3.8 million on a $15 million budget. It didn't light the box office on fire, but its upcoming digital release will likely expose it to more people who missed it in theaters, as you'll be able to watch it at home just in time for the Christmas and holiday break.
