At the outset, the Force seemed strong with the upcoming series from creator Leslye Headland. Hours before the new Star Wars shows two-episode debut officially dropped on Disney+, The Acolyte boasted an 86% rating on the Tomatometer. Many people thought that this could be a case of fools gold for the newest enty in Disney's multi-billion-dollar franchise. After all, when switching from All Critics to Top Critics on Rotten Tomatoes, the Tomatometer dipped all the way down to 67%. However, The Acolyte proved to be the real deal for critics, as its score has only increased (and is at a whopping 93% as of writing). Now that the episodes have been released, though, audiences have very different thoughts.
