The Apple TV+ series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters ended its freshman season with the appearance of King Kong, and thanks to co-creator Chris Black, we now know that the giant gorilla will play a more prominent role next season. Premiering in November 2023, Monarch became an immediate hit thanks to its mix of kaiju action and human drama, something that recent films in the Monsterverse have been criticized for overlooking.
