4 Ways the M*A*S*H TV Show Was Historically Accurate (And 6 Ways it Wasn't)

M*A*S*H is a famous American wartime comedy revolving around a field hospital in Uijeongbu, South Korea, during the Korean War. Serving as a spin-off of the feature film M*A*S*H, and the 1968 novel MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors, early seasons came out while the Vietnam War was still a reality. Thanks to this, the Korean War was sometimes used as a metaphor for current events. Likewise, the series often reflected the culture of the 1970s and early 1980s instead of the 1950s, when it technically took place.
