Since premiering on Netflix on Dec. 7th, 2023, fan reception towards the small-screen episodic adaptation of author Ali Novak’s young adult novel My Life With the Walter Boys has been polarizing, to say the least. On the one hand, the show's first season has been applauded by some as a great romantic teen drama. However, others have had a more critical approach to the show, calling out its unrealistic approach to grief and awkward love triangles. In spite of some poor reviews, the series has undoubtedly captured the attention of the streaming audience.
